This armchair is named after the designer’s childhood nickname. The plywood structure has an organic shape, characterized by the distinctive curve of the armrests that extend into the legs. The sinuous structural curves and exposed screws lend lightness to this piece.

José Zanine Caldas (1919-2001) was a Brazilian architect, designer and sculptor, renowned for his wooden creations that celebrate nature and craftsmanship. Self-taught, he combined modern aesthetics with Brazilian traditions, creating furniture and homes in harmony with their environment. His work, particularly with reclaimed wood, embodies an avant-garde ecological approach. Zanine Caldas has influenced many generations of architects and designers.
